Oak
Park, Illinois
is a suburb bordering the west side of the City of Chicago in Cook
County, Illinois, United States. Oak Park has easy access to downtown
Chicago (the Chicago Loop) thanks to public transportation such as the
Chicago 'L' Blue and Green lines, CTA buses, and Metra commuter rail.
As of the 2000 census, the area had a total population of 52,524. A
census estimate for 2003 showed that the population had dipped to
50,824.

River Forest, Illinois
is closely tied to the well-known neighboring community of Oak Park,
Illinois. There are significant architectural designs located in River
Forest such as the Winslow House by Frank Lloyd Wright. The population
was 11,635 at the 2000 census. There is one public middle
school,
Theodore Roosevelt Middle School (home of the bulldogs). There is no
public high school in River Forest, but it shares a high school with
Oak Park. River Forest is home to 2 Catholic grade schools, St. Luke's
& St. Vincent's. An all girl's Catholic high school named
Trinity
also resides in River Forest.
